Introducing Champagne Super-Rosa

We’re proud to finally share a beer we’ve been quietly excited about for a long time: Champagne Super-Rosa.

This release is all about collaboration, curiosity, and making something genuinely different. Champagne Super-Rosa was brewed in partnership with our friends at Chet Valley Vineyard, using Pinot Noir grape skins and Champagne yeast that might otherwise have gone to waste. Turning these by-products into something special felt like exactly the kind of challenge we enjoy—and the result is a beer with real character and a story behind it.

We finished the beer on Champagne yeast from Chet Valley, which brings a distinctive dryness, crispness, and natural carbonation. As the complex yeast and grape sugars continue to ferment over time, the flavour of the beer evolves, adding depth and refinement while keeping it clean and refreshing.

The base of the beer is built on super-pale malt, chosen to keep the colour light and the body full without masking the more delicate characteristics. Rice hulls were used in the mash to support the high proportion of grape material and ensure a smooth process, while allowing the grape flavours to take centre stage. The Pinot Noir grape skins lend the beer its soft pink blush along with subtle structure and fruit notes.

To complement the wine-like character, we dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc, lifting the aroma with hints of white grape and gooseberry that tie the beer and vineyard elements together beautifully.

Champagne Super-Rosa is finished in a 750 ml Champagne bottle, complete with a hand-waxed seal unique to every bottle and a metallic label that brings together Tindall Brewery and Chet Valley branding. It’s a beer designed to be shared, opened slowly, and talked about.

Serving suggestion:Serve well-refrigerated, poured into a Champagne flute or a stemmed 1/3-pint Tindall glass to highlight the aroma, carbonation, and colour. Champagne Super-Rosa pairs beautifully with cheese, olives, fresh bread, and grapes, making it ideal for sharing. For the final third of the bottle, gently swirl to mix in the yeast before pouring—transforming both the appearance and flavour of the beer, and revealing its full depth.

Available now in limited quantities, Champagne Super-Rosa is a celebration of collaboration, sustainability, and pushing what beer can be—without losing sight of balance, craft, and place.
